Practice Areas

Victor V. Vicinaiz was raised in San Isidro, Starr County, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) with a degree in Psychology and from Creighton University. He began his practice in the Brownsville office of Roerig, Oliveira & Fisher, L.L.P. in 1987. After making partner in 1991 he opened the firm’s Hidalgo County office in 1992. He has represented defendants in a wide variety of litigation involving property and casualty cases in general including personal injury and wrongful death cases involving premises liability, products liability, automobile, and trucking incidents. He also handles construction defect and first party litigation. He was board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law in 1994 and has tried over 95 jury trials to verdict throughout South Texas.

He is an active member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel (1990 – present; District Director) and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He is also a member of the Personal Injury Trial Law Commission whose job it is to create and grade Personal Injury Trial Law legal specialization exams. Other memberships and associations include the State Bar of Texas; Hidalgo County Bar Association (1992- present); Defense Research Institute (1990 – Present) and the Texas Bar Foundation (Sustaining Life Fellow).

Outside of the legal profession, he is an avid motorcyclist, rancher and outdoor enthusiast.
